Assistant General Manager

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Assistant General Manager to support senior management in overseeing banking operations, administration, and business growth. The AGM will assist in policy implementation, branch supervision, staff management, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. This role requires strong leadership, operational knowledge, and decision-making skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager in overall bank/branch operations
  • Supervise branch activities and ensure smooth daily functioning
  • Monitor financial performance, loans, recoveries, and deposits
  • Ensure compliance with banking rules, audits, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support policy implementation and operational improvements
  • Guide, train, and evaluate branch staff
  • Handle customer escalations and key institutional relationships
  • Prepare reports, MIS, and performance reviews for management

Required Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team-management skills
  • Good knowledge of banking operations, finance, and credit management
  • Ability to analyze financial data and reports
  • Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and banking systems

Eligibility:

  • Graduate / Post-Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Banking, or Management
  • 5–10 years of experience in banking, cooperative bank, or NBFC
  • Experience in supervisory or managerial roles preferred
